We highly recommend Cenote Azul for a first visit. It’s spacious, easy to access, and perfect for swimming and relaxing in a natural environment.


Cenote Cristalino

Type: Open cenote

Located very close to Cenote Azul, it’s ideal to combine both in the same morning. The water is incredibly clear, and the atmosphere is usually calm and peaceful.


Jardín del Edén Cenote (Ponderosa)

📍 Distance: ~30-minute drive
Type: Open cenote

One of our personal favorites. Excellent for snorkeling, with plenty of space and surrounded by lush vegetation—perfect if you want nature without feeling enclosed.

One of the closest cenotes to Playa del Carmen and one we highly recommend. The guided tour takes you through caves with impressive rock formations and crystal-clear water—ideal for couples or anyone looking for a special experience without a long drive.


Dos Ojos Cenote

📍 Distance: ~50-minute drive
Type: Semi-open & cave cenote

Very popular among snorkeling and diving enthusiasts. It’s one of the most famous cave systems in the world and an unforgettable experience.


Taak Bi Ha Cenote

📍 Distance: ~45-minute drive
Type: Cave cenote

A guided experience inside a spectacular cave. We recommend it for travelers looking for something different and less crowded.
